APG is an independent new-model label and music publisher. Led by veteran music executive Mike Caren, APG is a well-funded label / publisher with the agility of an indie and the muscle of a major.
We’re looking for someone to help guide audiovisual content distribution as well as support APG’s new distribution arm, Release.Global.
The company is fast paced, creative, and very close to the artists and writers. It’s a place for fast-moving but thoughtful and hardworking up-and-comers, determined to make a significant mark on the industry.
TITLE: Director, Production and Distribution
REPORTS TO: Sr. Director, A&R Admin and Production
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA

Self-directed and organized with high attention to detail and great follow through.
Forward thinking, technology-minded and computer savvy in general with competence in mastering new programs and software.
Demonstrable experience in a client facing role, fundamental understanding of music business practices, with relevant prior work experience.
Critical, agile and creative thinker with the ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
Onboard new clients to our distribution platform. See through vendor set up, payment and tracking. Liaise with Accounting & Finance to ensure payouts are fulfilled.
Administer APGs Youtube SRAV CMS, including content ID.
Work with A&R to demo distribution platforms to new signings and potential clients. Serve as a day-to-day liaison with clients to work through technical issues and general support.
Set up new contracts in our backend; enter deal points, exclusivity, release commitments, etc.
Work with Legal to review and QC incoming releases via YouTube and Release.Global
Liaise with Marketing to drive social media content and strategy, keeping them up to date on new signings, incoming releases and trending singles.
Requirements
YouTube Certification.
Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in the music industry.
Experience inputting data into distribution service provider platform(s).
Experience and knowledge regarding optimization of YouTube assets and rights management.
Strong understanding of record label production, clearance, and distribution processes.
Experience managing multiple Youtube channels in the music space.
Beneficial Experience
Experience in royalties systems & label waivers.
Education
College degree preferred
