We are looking for an assistant to support our CEO with executive administrative tasks and entry level A&R support. This opportunity is perfect for someone looking to grow into an operational role in the music industry. 

  • TITLE: A&R Assistant

  • REPORTS TO: CEO

  • LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA

What will you bring?

  • Flawless attention to detail.

  • Deep knowledge of the music industry, key players, understanding the role of each department at a label and publishing company, management, etc.

  • Ability to be proactive and ask relevant and appropriate questions.

  • Exceptional communicator.

  • Ability to anticipate administrative and organizational needs of the CEO and the organization

  • The ideal candidate will have music experience and experience supporting a VP, CEO, or other high-level executive with discretion and confidentiality.

  • Flexibility – must be able to adjust priorities and multi-task to be successful.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage the calendar for the CEO, schedule meetings, and prepare the office for incoming meetings, including setting up the APG conference room.

  • Acquire signatures on agreements and contacts, and ensure to file in the proper folders.

  • Track expenses, business charges, and create expense reports.

  • Support with the planning and execution of all APG internal events.

  • Create business presentations, reports, and various data points as needed for the CEO.

  • Co-manage parking validations for the Beverly Hills office including managing validation allotment and tracking usage for guests.

  • Lead company wide assistant meetings, share best practices, updates, and any cross-departmental coordination/collaboration necessary.

  • Support with ad hoc requests when necessary.

Requirements

  • Must have administrative experience in the music industry.

  •  Minimum 1+ years managing an executive’s calendars and supporting a C-suite level executive  at a major label or publishing company.

  • Efficient in Microsoft Office, G Suite, and Mac OS.

  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.

Beneficial Experience

  • Experience in Adobe and acquiring signatures preferred

  • Experience using Box as a document management/sharing system.

Education

  • College degree preferred

Compensation Range

  • $19/hour - $22/hour

  • The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualification of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
