Raised in Miami, the half Cuban and half Puerto Rican siren Sabrina Claudio fell in love with dance first as she simultaneously discovered salsa, meringue, and what she refers to as “my old school R&B” i.e. Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child, Usher, and Boyz II Men courtesy of dad. By high school, she became obsessed with jazz favorites Gretchen Parlato and Esperenza Spalding.

She diligently built a following through consistent and strategic engagement, beginning at the age of 14. In 2015, Sabrina utilized Twitter’s burgeoning video capability to its fullest potential, uploading a series of 30-second covers that would each go viral. Around that time, she and her family relocated to Los Angeles, properly kicking off her career.

In the end, every element elegantly fits together. Slightly revealing, yet simple and stunning, her fashion sense mirrors the music’s stark sensuality. That aesthetic carries over to the artwork and visuals, tying her vision together. Earlier in 2017 the singer/songwriter unveiled her debut EP Confidently Lost and toured alongside 6LACK in the fall. This new artist-to-watch has only just begun to captivate audiences.
